Carbon Reduction Plan

PPN 06/21 CARBON REDUCTION PLAN

Landbuild is committed to achieving Net zero emissions by 2050 without off setting

Landbuild Ltd has identified year 2020 as the baseline year for measuring carbon reductions against. The baseline has been established to measure compliance with PPN 06/21.

Landbuild Limited has used greenhouse gas (GHG) protocol operational control methodology to determine its baseline for Scope 1,2 and 3 emissions.

For scope 1 and 2 emissions we have used actual data.

The scope 3 category data has been compiled using the Supply Chain Sustainability Calculator combined with actual data.

Management System

Landbuild Ltd has an Integrated Management system and certified to ISOQAR 14001, 45001 & 9001, which is embedded at all operational sites and implemented through our site policies, procedures, and processes to manage environmental impacts of activities and to ensure a high standard of environmental management and control.

Carbon Reduction Projects

Since our 2020 baseline Landbuild have engaged with the Carbon trust to provide insight and support in our initiative to reach our scope 1,2 & 3 targets.

Scope 1:

With environmental pollutions being a significant and growing concern across the planet Landbuild are actively striving to reduce harmful emissions.

Since 2020 LandBuild has consciously renewed 68% of our Road fleet to ensure Euro 6 compliance. We have also replaced 85% of our 2 stroke tools with the electric equivalent.

This commitment to the reduction of emissions has had a positive impact on our sites with 90% of our Welfare units upgraded to Hybrid units and 46% of our plant being monitored with Telematics, giving us better insight to our carbon emissions.

Since 2023 all new Welfare units are hybrid/solar powered.

Plant purchase is subject to whole life assessment.

Scope 2 Emissions:

Landbuild believe the change needs to start with us, so here at our offices we have installed EV chargers to enable staff to charge their cars.

In 2020 we upgraded our 85% of our lighting to LED and continued work from home for those this is a preference.

In 2023 66% of our office space has converted to air source heat pumps significantly reducing our reliance to Gas heating.

Our 2025 /2026 objective to source 100% clean electricity supplied entirely through clean UK based wind & air, fully traceable through REGO certificates.

Scope 3 Emissions:

Carbon footprints are reviewed prior to the award of any subcontracts.

We have always looked to ways to minimise waste and as of 2024 have successfully diverted 85% of our waste from Landfill and recycled 70% of all waste.

We understand we will need to continue to monitor our emissions in line with any new criteria which is subject to change. Below you will find what we will achieve by 2030.
